Uncounted

Book Three in The World Collective Series

ESCAPE IS JUST THE BEGINNING

All her life, Rygita was told it was impossible to live outside the World Collective, believing the rhetoric that there was nothing beyond the ordered cities except wasteland, chaos, and death. But this was a lie.

Hidden in the mountains, far away from the Code’s reach, Ry discovers the Uncounted. These multi-generational families have built a thriving community of free people, offering Ry, Tali, and Loren their first real chance at a normal life, and an opportunity to reclaim their childhood.

But time is running out. Thanatos remains unchecked, and the United People are closing in. Somewhere in Ry’s memory lies the key to everything, if only she can unlock it in time. With the future hanging in the balance, she’ll have to work with the one person she swore never to trust: Tazib.

From pulse-pounding pod chases to daring rescues, Ry will risk it all in this epic conclusion to The World Collective trilogy.

In a world where truth has been buried under layers of lies, perhaps the most powerful discovery is that hope’s song never truly fades — it just needs a willing heart to hear it.

Okay. That was ANOTHER easy 5 stars for me. When i first started this series I did NOT expect it to become a new favourite of mine. I sped through all three books within a week. Yes, a week, 7 days. I can’t express how connected I ended up feeling to all of the characters. Especially Tazib and especially Ry. They were both so broken and by the end of the book they are slowly getting better and they are helping each other so that. The story being about an entire world rather than just a group of people or a couple is what made this book even better. The entire world was put into the hands of a couple of teenagers who had never even had enough time to really become adults, and they pulled through and LITERALLY saved the world. I mean COME ON! Amazing. Absolutely amazing. Susan Cullen may just be one of my new idols because it has been a WHILE since a series made me feel this way. I genuinely am unsure of what to read now because I am sure that nothing will match up to this trilogy. I honestly feel the need to say thank you for creating this book.

Fantastic book!

This is the book I've been waiting for for so long!! I loved the other 2 so I had pretty high expectations for Uncounted, but it did not disappoint! The book explores a society dictated by the Code, a moral technology which assigns rules, career roles and lifespan lengths for the better good of the society. But when the Code begins to falter, the perfection of the Code is questioned. In Uncounted, Ry searches for a way to stop the malfunctioning Code while everything she grew up being told is truth is called into question. The book will challenge how you think about society, the individual and the role of technology and what our future might involve.

It's a perfect series for teens, young adults or adults who love the dystopian genre but don't necessarily want all the violence or gore. But don't think this book isn't packed with plot twists, complex societies and very well developed characters! Cullen created very believable characters with their own unique traits and flaws and profoundly human emotions, problems and experiences.

Fantastic end to one of my new favourite series!

The complete trilogy is brilliant and fascinating.

When at 2:00 in the morning, I'm closing one book and opening the next, that says something about the strength of the grip of the story. When putting either book down for a meal or to visit the bathroom is very difficult, that says something about the strength of the story. I particularly loved the repeated references to "the composer" and his music. It reminded me of a book read and loved many years ago by Calvin Miller, "The Singer." It took some searching but I'm half way through rereading that book today. The language is different. The format is different. But both authors celebrate the same composer. In today's world, where computer technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) have more and more of an impact, I find myself almost afraid of how accurate a picture these books paint, but I love the reality behind the message that the composer is still active and the song endures, even through the most confusing times.
